Most AI projects do not fail because the model was weak. They fail because nobody owned the interfaces, the data, the refusal cases, or the moment the system had to talk to something that already existed. A demo can hide all of that. Production cannot.
The case is not “add more models”. It is to take a bounded workflow, put it on a runtime that can be observed and constrained, and design the parts a product does not already cover. Platform is there so not every engagement starts from a blank page. Build is there when the estate, the identity model or the failure modes are particular.
RoboRigs and ITAD Assist are production systems of that kind: a sentence to a printable robot; a retired asset to an auditable next life. Neither is a chat window with a hopeful prompt.
